Attention all foodies and festival-goers!

We’re thrilled to introduce you to our incredible line-up of influencers who will be sharing their Black Food Truck Festival experience this spring, live from Charleston, South Carolina.

Our carefully curated 2024 cohort features a dynamic mix of solo creators and families, each bringing their own flavor to the world of Black food and culture.

1. Cory Wilkins, Charlotte, NC: @ThaDailySpecial

Tha Daily Special is an Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube creator on a mission to inspire and connect to people through food. His popular foodie platform has amassed millions of views since 2018 and is dedicated to helping people discover new restaurants and create easy recipes of their own.

2. Riyadh Smith, Charleston, SC: @_thehunterexperience

The Hunter Experience is a family lifestyle blog showcasing exciting local and travel destination experiences, restaurants, amusement parks, festivals, and more.


3. Tanya Crisp, Charlotte, NC: @msfoodieclt 

Ms Foodie CLT is a highly-rated professional content creator with over four years of experience. She is passionate about food and travel. Her mission is to provide businesses with organic content. 

4. Tori and Garland, Charlotte, NC: @foodquestclt

Foodquestclt by Tori Thorpe and Garland Miller showcases small Black and minority-owned businesses in the Charlotte area and beyond. They launched their page after moving to Charlotte from the Philadelphia area during the pandemic, originally to showcase all the tasty food and drinks they discovered with their friends and family back home. 


5. Christina Harris, Philadelphia, PA: @dr.afia_abroad

Dr. Afia Abroad is a Black Studies scholar and travel content creator who supports Black-owned businesses, events, and products. 

6. Making it with The Mathews, Charleston, SC: @makingitwiththemathews

Making it with the Mathews are Charleston-based “experience connoisseurs.” This influencer family engages their audience with unique and inspiring travel content, allowing them to discover new places and experiences through authentic and relatable storytelling. 

7. Mariah Woodward, Charleston, SC: @theemariahalise

Mariah shares original content for millennial women in the areas of lifestyle, fashion, wellness, and travel. 

8. Ashley Lowman, Charleston, SC: @Gullaheatschs

Born and raised in Downtown Charleston, Ashley is a mother of two who enjoys amplifying and curating food experiences all over the Lowcountry. 

9. Jeremey Joyce, Chicago, IL: @blackpeopleeats

Black People Eats connects the world to Black culture through Black food, travel, and beyond. 

10. Narcisa Miller, Charleston, SC: @narcisa.maura

Narcisa Maura is a lifestyle content creator based in Charleston, specializing in events, food, and fashion. Through her lens, she strives to transport her audience into the experiences she shares, aiming to captivate and immerse her audience in the moment and leave them wanting more.

11. Leslie Robinson, Surfcity, NC: @avibecalledfest

A Vibe Called Fest is a one-stop-shop for Black people and those interested in events and festivals curated for the culture.

12. Jewels Rode, Atlanta, GA: @traveljewels

After realizing that she’d neglected her creative side during graduate school, Travel Jewels launched her platform to spread light and inspire people to live to the fullest through travel and wellness. 

13. Amari Walls, Chicago, IL: @amari.thefoodie

Amari the Foodie is a highly motivated food and travel creator who has worked in the food industry for ten years. She enjoys bringing laughter and exuding joy while influencing viewers to enjoy life and eat well.

14. Angell Troxler, Charleston, SC: @lifeofanangell_ 

Life of an Angell, nicknamed “Big Hungry” as a kid, spent years working in the food and beverage industry in Kentucky. After shelving that part of her life to start a teaching career, she returned in 2021 to make her passion for food her profession. Angell is currently the Talent Coordinator for Charleston Wine + Food and a Charleston food influencer. 

15. Pamela Grant, Charleston, SC: @_thepamelarenee

Pamela Renee is a Charleston-based influencer who focuses on lifestyle and diversity in the food and beverage community. As a person who has lived in Charleston for over ten years, Pamela focuses on showcasing the not-so-touristy side of the city.
